Section I

Rules

1. Most importantly, no personal attacks. Saying "name" is a "foul word" will not be tolerated. Members saying 'little_joe is a jerk' will be warned as a direct attack.
2. You can not post anything that you know will upset other people or start an argument - this is called flame posting or flaming. It is not acceptable at TATAN. However, debate on sensitive issues is permitted. Remember it's not what but how you post about it that determines whether it is a flame or not.
3. No bully posting - posts intended to hurt someone's feelings or cause them embarassment. If you have a beef with somebody, handle it with dignity - don't lower yourself to name calling or mud slinging. This doesn't resolve issues.
4. No threatening, crude, rude, racist, violent or sexually explicit posts will be tolerated in either forum (chat room or message board). If asking a question of a sexual nature please do not offer illicit details, include only that information that is absolutely essential to the question. If the question is very personal consider keeping it off the message board or in the chat room and seek one on one advice with a teen advocate.
5. Threats or even jokingly threatening to hurt, kill or abuse any ethnic group or known disliked group or member results in a warning and may cause banning from message board or chat room.
6. No posting of full names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers or other clearly identifying information - your's or anyone elses.
7. You can not sell, or send people to links that sell things - this is called spamming.
8. Try not to post ALL IN CAPITALS - to other posters this is the same thing as yelling and may result in others being upset or insulted by what you post.

Please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of TATAN. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this MB to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you. Forum titles on TATAN Message Board or Chat Room are part of TATAN Teen Forums and are not to be copied to other forums made by members for their own use. Posting the personal details of any other person. It does not matter where you got the details from or whether they are available from a whois search, we will still ban you for it. Hate crimes or discrimination posts are not supported in any form.
